Cut, Stick, Write!

A festive collage and micro-memoir workshop at ‘Flo’s Pop-up’, The Courtyard, Fareham

Saturday December 5th 10am - 12 (arrival from 9:45)

£30 including refreshments and materials

Bring your festive memories to create a fun, unique collage that you’ll use to inspire a piece of short-form writing. You’ll leave with a collage you could use as a design for cards and gift tags, a short story to treasure, and perhaps some inspiration to try these techniques at home to create your own scrapbooks and family histories. No prior experience of either collage or writing is required. Come and have fun!

In the first hour we’ll choose a theme from prompts (or you can use your own), select and cut motifs from a varied range of printed material, and have fun arranging them in pleasing, quirky, or downright crazy ways! In the second hour, we’ll explore the craft of ‘micro-memoir’ – a genre of writing that captures memories in a rich, creative form in 500 words or less.

Festive refreshments and all materials are provided but please feel free to bring photos, or other materials with you to cut up and collage. If you’d like to use a laptop instead of writing by hand, that’s fine too!
